Are You Looking to Improve Treatment Acceptance in your Practice?
In 2013, Psychology Today published an article, written by Peter Noel Murray, PhD, that examined “how emotions influence what we buy”. It was noted that our “emotions greatly influence and, in many cases, even determine our purchase decisions.” Furthermore, if we take a look at Michael Levine’s column, The Divided Mind, and delve into the logical and emotional sides of the human brain, “it is said that emotions drive 80% of the choices purchasers make, while practicality and objectivity only represent about 20% of decision-making.” So with these proven statistics in mind, how can you apply an emotional approach to case presentation in your practice to dramatically enhance treatment acceptance?
Digital Smile Design (DSD) is a dynamic case presentation strategy that enhances team communication and offers the patient an unforgettable experience in your dental practice. Through the use of technology and the application of a quick patient video/photo protocol, you will dramatically improve your case acceptance with the placement of the motivational mockup. The AurumDSD case presentation workflow will allow you to provide your patient with a truly engaging demonstration of the potential a new smile will bring. By allowing your patients the ability to ‘test drive’ their new smile, you open up a world of opportunity when it comes to explaining treatment outcomes and the necessary clinical applications required to achieve the desired look.
